St Patrick's Day 16th/17th March

Donate

Irwin's / Rankin Selection Irish Breads will make a
donation for every registration

Welcoming around 150,000 patient visits each year and treating the most complex, life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, Great Ormond Street Hospital can only continue to deliver this standard of treatment, care and research through such important fundraising initiatives as the Proud2bPat campaign.

Donate to Great Ormond Street

To kick-start the campaign, Rankin Selection Irish Bread has agreed to make a donation for every one who registers for the campaign (either online or in person on the day in London), but we are hoping that the well-known generosity of Patricks and Patricias will also be realised.

Anyone who wants to support the campaign directly can do so in a number of ways.

Direct Donation

You can follow this link to the Great Ormond Street Hospital website and use their online donation page to pledge your support – please ensure to record the Proud2Bpat campaign in the ‘Reason for Donation’ section.

Telephone Donation

You can also make a telephone donation by contacting the hospital directly and again quoting the Proud2Bpat campaign as the reason for donation.

Please contact: Sarah Hegley, Corporate Partnerships Dept, Great Ormond Street Hospital on Tel: 020 7239 3057

For those ‘Wannabe Patricks’ we are also encouraging you to get sponsored to change your name.

Sponsored Name Change

Sponsorship forms to encourage Change of Name via Deed Poll are available to download as a clickable and downloadable pdf here.  We ask you to raise as much money from your family and friends as you can for your name change and to apply for your name change through our deed poll partner - UK Deed Poll Service - at the following link. For a nominal fee of £4 we will process the application with all this money going to Great Ormond Street Hospital as well. Here you will be asked to confirm whether you are planning to attend the world record attempt on the day in Trafalgar Square on 16thMarch or not.

If you are planning to attend and to be counted in the ‘paddy poll’ we will be present at the registration point to give you your Deed Poll showing your name change, so as to avoid problems with postage. Otherwise, for those still keen to fundraise but unable to attend, we will process your deed poll and post it to you. The nominal charge for the deed poll service (which will also go to Great Ormond Street Hospital) will cover postage and delivery where necessary. Further details are provided in the FAQs section and on the Deed Poll link.

We will now be able to take on the day applications for the sponsored name change at our Registration Point and will forward the deed poll certificate in the post. You will however receive a Proud2bPat certificate on the day to prove you have applied to change your name to Patrick/Patricia so you can show your friends and family !

When you have gathered all the money you can, either bring it along with your completed sponsorship form on the world record day (16th March) to our Paddy Field in Trafalgar Square, or if you are not able to make to London on 16th March post it to:
